Fruit Scones
225g Self-raising flour 50g grated cheese can be used instead of the fruit and sugar Put the flour and salt into a basin. Rub in the butter. Add sugar and fruit (or cheese) and stir. Add beaten egg and mix well. Add milk as necessary, until mixture is dough-like. Roll out with a rolling pin and shape into scones. Cook at 220°C for about 10 minutes. |
